Tiziana (BArch/MArch) holds a PhD (2017) in Energetics about the energy and economic evaluation of multi-functional nearly Zero Energy Buildings. Since her Master’s Thesis (2012), her fields of research embraced different aspects influencing energy uses in buildings. Starting with a focus on energy-related occupants’ behaviour, she then drove her interests towards the combined energy and economic evaluation of high performing retrofits. Her research efforts were often framed in the context of international projects, such as the Annex 53 and the neZEH project. Beside the academia and before joining REHVA, her experience in European projects was enriched by the collaboration with the Italian research institute “SiTI – Higher Institute on territorial Systems for Innovation”. Lastly, her occasional collaborations with design firms and building construction companies were the chance to have insights on the on-field building design practice.
